The past few years have witnesssed a great many changes in the law relating to art and antiquities, and the aim of this seminar is to provide a 'round-up' of the most important of those changes. Speakers will summarise and analyse recent cases and statutory provisions concerning such diverse areas as recovery of Holocaust-looted art, the application of the Artist's Resale Right, sculptures and artistic craftsmanship, the new criminal offence under the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, applicability of limitation periods in claims to recover art and antiquities.

Speakers at this seminar will include Tony Baumgartner (Clyde & Co LLP), Gilead Cooper QC (3 Stone Buildings), Charles Goldstein (Herrick Feinstein, New York), Anthony Misquitta (partner, Farrer & Co LLP), Professor Norman Palmer QC, CBE (3 Stone Buildings), David Quentin (Farrer & Co LLP), Simon Stokes (partner, Blake Lapthorn), Matthias Weller (University of Heidelberg).

The seminar will start at 10.30 am and finish at 5.30 pm, and will carry 5 hours Law Society CPD points.
