A ROUND UP OF RECENT EVENTS IN THE WORLD OF
ART AND ANTIQUITIES


Saturday 26th November, Central London, all day

A panel of speakers will examine a range of issues of concern to all those who work in the cultural heritage arena. Subjects under consideration will include crininal law - theft, handling, money laundering, the Dealing in Cultural Objects (Offences) Act, international conventions relating to art and antiquities, the High Court decision in Accidia v Dickinson (duties owed by a dealer on the sale of an Old Master drawing). Speakers will include Tony Baumgartner (solicitor, Clyde & Co LLP), Kevin Chamberlain (barrister, York Chambers), Nicholas Queree (Hickman and Rose, Solicitors), Paul Stevenson (barrister, Tanfield Chambers), Professor Janet Ulph (University of Leicester), Elizabeth Weaver (barrister, XXIV Old Buildings).
